Object of the Game
The object of Roulette is picking the winning number that will appear on a Roulette wheel after the spin. You can bet on combinations of numbers, whether the result will be odd or even, and the color, which is red or black.The European wheel has 37 numbered slots (0 to 36), with a house edge of 2.63%. While the North American wheel has 38 numbers including a double zero (00). This increases the houses edge to 5.26%.

Betting System and Payouts
Inside Bets
Straight Up: is a wager or bet on a single number. This pays out 35 to 1, some nice cash in your pocket for that lucky guess.
Split Bet: Placing your chip so it traddles a combination of two numbers. This payout is 17 to 1. Once again, a nice little cash deposit into your wallet for the right guess.
Line Bets: Also known as Street Bets, you place your chip on the vertical line, which separates the outside and inside betting areas. So, your chip is straddling the first number in the row. This payout is 11 to 1.
Quad Bet: Your chip should be touching the four corners of the numbers. This payout is 8 to 1. Quad betting or sometimes called, Corner betting is a favorite amongst the novice.
Double Street Bet: Almost the same as Line bets, but your chip straddles the row above or below. This payout is 5 to 1.
Basket Bet: Known as one of the worst bets in Roulette, it is a five number bet on Zero, double zero, as well as 1, 2, 3. It pays 6 to 1, with a house edge of 7.89%. Just a little risky to say the least.
Dozens Bet: With odds of 2 to 1, you can try your luck by placing your chip in the boxes numbered from 1 to 12, 13 to 24 or 25 to 36. If you get a zero, or the double zero, then you lose.
Outside Bets
You can bet on red or black, and on odd or even. Place your chips in the boxes on the layout.
Column Bets: Also with odds of 2 to 1, you bet on one of the three vertical columns, by placing your chip in the bottom boxes on the layout. |
